We grow demand for wellness brands, and the wellness tech inside of them
In February 2025, I began the first step of my mission to provide one million meals for orphans worldwide. That journey started in Cape Town, South Africa, where I visited the Christine Revell Children’s Home to make my very first donation.
This was personal. I was once a Russian orphan before being adopted by my parents, John and Jennifer, at the age of one. Because of them I was given a future filled with love, opportunity, and support. Not every child is given that chance, and I feel called to give back in a way that is real and practical. Food is where I chose to start.
The Christine Revell Children’s Home, located in Athlone, Cape Town, has been serving children for decades. It provides care for kids of all ages, many of whom spend years in the home. Sadly, only a small number will ever have the opportunity to be fostered or adopted. You can learn more about their work here: https://www.christinerevellchildrenshome.co.za/.
Walking into the orphanage for the first time was both humbling and emotional. I had not stepped foot in an orphanage since I left one as a child. Seeing these kids laughing, playing, and studying despite the uncertainty of their futures reminded me of both the challenges they face and the resilience they carry.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters and friends, we were able to provide a full month’s worth of groceries for the children. Together with the staff at a local Spar grocery store, we filled carts with essentials like flour, sugar, oil, rice, and other non-perishable goods that could sustain the home for weeks.
The store went above and beyond by boxing up all of the food and even delivering it directly to Christine Revell Children’s Home. By the time we finished, the back of the delivery vehicle was stacked high with supplies. It was enough food to make a noticeable impact for the children and the staff who dedicate themselves to caring for them every day.
This donation was made in collaboration with my friend Kook, the founder of Kook’s Wild Ride. She had just finished leading a group trip through South Africa, and once the trip ended, we both stayed in Cape Town for a few extra days to make this visit possible.
Kook and I share a special connection. We are both alumni of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During her time abroad in South Africa years earlier, she volunteered at Christine Revell Children’s Home. To come back together in 2025, years later, and donate as part of the 1,000,000 Meals Mission felt like life coming full circle.
Many ask why I focus on food. The truth is that millions of orphans around the world are malnourished. They are not provided with the number of meals needed to grow, learn, and thrive. A full plate of food is more than nutrition, it is hope, stability, and the feeling of being cared for.
As someone who has lived on both sides of the story, I know how critical this is. I was given a family and opportunities. These children deserve at the very least the basic security of knowing where their next meal will come from.
This first donation would not have been possible without the people who helped along the way.
To my parents, John and Jennifer, for adopting me and showing me unconditional love.
To Kook, for making this trip possible and for being the bridge back to these children’s home.
To Spar grocery store, for their generosity and willingness to deliver everything directly to the orphanage.
To the staff of Christine Revell Children’s Home, for opening their doors and giving me a glimpse into the incredible work they do.
To every person who has followed, encouraged, and supported this mission.
Cape Town was the starting point of the 1,000,000 Meals Mission. Since then, I have continued with a second donation at Casa De Amor orphanage in El Salvador, where we were able to provide more than a month and a half of food and supplies. You can read about that donation by clicking here.
The next step will take place in October 2025 in Bali, Indonesia, where I plan to visit another orphanage and continue expanding the mission. You can receive updates on all future donations by joining Alex's free email newsletter here.
I filmed this first donation to give others a closer look at the mission and the impact it can create. You can watch the full Cape Town video here: https://youtu.be/YFj0iB5uxgU?si=VI7rF6yn1X_daNfP
The 1,000,000 Meals for Orphans Mission began in 2025 with the goal of providing one million meals to orphans worldwide. The mission is self-funded through my business, support from friends and family, and ultimately the grace of God. To date, more than 7,500 meals have already been provided across South Africa and El Salvador.
Outside of this mission, I am the Founder and CEO of Raging Agency, a Miami-based digital marketing firm focused on scaling wellness and longevity brands through paid advertising, SEO, and full-funnel systems. I have been in digital marketing for nearly a decade, leading teams, managing six figures in monthly ad spend, and helping brands generate millions in revenue.
This mission is not tied to Raging Agency’s client work. It is a reflection of the values I live by and the calling I feel to use my resources and experiences to serve others.
Cape Town was the beginning of something bigger. It showed me that while many of us never have to question whether we will eat today, countless children wake up without that same security.
If we can change that reality, even for a few, we should.
This is only the start of the journey to one million meals.
